NOTIC Mentoring

We work directly with owner, board and executive leadership.

A defined Mentoring assignment creates control of underperforming subsidiaries, business units or plants through the existing management team, a non disruptive approach.

Set directions, control and accountability

Mentoring is used when an international business has an underperforming subsidiary, business unit or plant and requires decisive action, but where the intention is not to replace the local CEO, plant manager or leadership team.

This applies when performance is deteriorating, cost structures are out of line, execution is weak, or when the parent organisation lacks sufficient control over the operation. The required decisions may be broadly known, but the organisation is not moving with sufficient clarity, pace or discipline.

At this stage, the issue is direction, control and execution through the existing leadership.

Mentoring objective

The purpose of the Mentoring is to establish what the situation requires, define the priorities that matter, and ensure that the local leadership team operates to a clear and enforced agenda.

The objective is to move the business from weak performance and inconsistent follow-up to defined direction, disciplined execution and restored control for the appointing leadership.

Mentoring strenghten the existing team in taking ownership, improves focus on reporting to create full visibility for board or executive leadership, while placing responsibility for establishing the structure, follow-up and progress with Notic.

Driving the business through the existing leadership

The work is carried out through the local CEO, plant manager and management team, an incremental approach investing in leaders within the organisation.

Priorities are defined, actions are agreed, and progress is followed up in a recurring cadence. Completed actions are verified. Gaps are made visible. Required actions are reset and followed through.

The role is to ensure that the right issues are addressed in the right order, that decisions are translated into action, and that momentum is maintained.

Relevant situations

The Advisory mandate is intended for owners, boards, Group executives and Business Area Directors responsible for subsidiaries, business units or plants that are underperforming and require stronger direction, closer follow-up and clearer reporting, without immediate replacement of local management. An incremental approach, investing in leaders with potential to take them and the company to the next level.
